The elderly are often forgotten at Christmas time so Treasurer, Phil Boardman wanted to use his £2,000 Special Christmas Donation to benefit those patients.
“My dad spent a period of six months in Whiston Hospital back in 2014/2015 at the end of his life and was in over the Christmas period. He was lucky enough to have visitors every day but there were plenty of patients who never had any visitors.
The Elderly Patients Appeal funds raised were used to provide each elderly patient at Whiston Hospital with a gift tailored to their likes and I am grateful to have been able to make a donation to contribute towards the £8,000 target.
With this special donation, the charity raised a total of £8,500.00 for the elderly patients”.
