The PE Department at HMP Liverpool would like to thank the Prison Service Charity Fund for their very generous contribution. We recently set up and ran a Staff v Prisoners 12 Hour Charity 5-a-side Football Match to raise funds for Rice Lane Primary School.
Our aim was to try and assist this school in obtaining extra funds so they can focus on providing key services for their Children which specific requirements. We understand that public services are stretched at this time, and it can be hard in providing the sufficient products and services for all. We feel strongly that all Children should be given every opportunity to develop and have access to the best products, services and facilities that education has to offer – and we were happy to do our little bit extra to try to make this possible.
We managed to raise £700 from our event with the majority coming from our Prisoner population. The PSCF then added an additional £600 which was a fantastic contribution and was very much appreciated.
