I write to you from the British Heart Foundation to confirm we have just received your letter and cheque dated 20th May 2023. This was a special donation of £2,000 in memory of Mr Leo Edmund Queen which I read is part of a wonderful legacy he left behind.
I would like to apologise for the delay in us receiving this cheque. I have been informed that it was sent to one of our local shops, who then sent it to our Head Office, which is why it took longer than usual.
I wanted to be sure to send all necessary paperwork to you as receipt, along with a letter of thanks to your charity. Please can you confirm anything you need and I will be sure to have these to you as soon as possible.
Once again, thank you for sharing the news of this donation and to Mr Leo Edmund Queen who has enabled such a kind gift of £2,000 to our charity. I look forward to sharing a letter of thanks and receipt with you shortly.
