Dear Mr White

Our Reference: 19057

I would like to thank the Prison Service Charity Fund on behalf of the Great North Air Ambulance Service, for the recent generous donation of £500.00.

Your donation will have an impact on the lives of people across the region. People like 13-year-old Kacper Krauze from Appleby who was revived after around 25 minutes submerged in a river. GNAAS worked alongside fire crews, police, ambulance and staff from an Appleby medical practice to assess and treat Mr Krauze before airlifting him to the Royal Victoria Infirmary in Newcastle. His mother Wioletta Krauze said: “It’s like a miracle he survived. Thank you very much to the air ambulance. Absolutely wonderful job. Very, very professional people.”

Last year we were called out 2148 times across our region. To enable us to continue to provide this service, we must raise more than £9.3m every year. We couldn’t be there for people like Kacper without the generosity of the communities we serve and greatly appreciated contributions such as yours.

Once more, thank you for your support, we couldn’t continue to operate without you. We appreciate all donations and will never pressurise our supporters into giving more.
