I’m writing to thank you for your continued support of Wigan and Leigh Hospice. We’re also very grateful that you have championed the fundraising of Sara and Debbie from HMP/YOI Hindley. They have supported the hospice for many years and most recently helped at our Christmas Fayre last November. They then applied to the Prison Service Charity Fund who generously boosted the funds they raised on their stalls.
I’m delighted to tell you that today they came to Wigan and Leigh Hospice with a cheque for an amazing £2,000.00 donated by the PSCF! On behalf of the patients and staff at Wigan and Leigh Hospice, please accept our sincere thanks for your generosity.
Without the dedicated assistance from local businesses and wonderful supporters like you, we simply would be able to provide our care.
With your help, Wigan and Leigh Hospice can keep providing care across the Wigan Borough
- Currently, the Hospice receives over 1,200 referrals each year.
- We care for over 900 people in the community every year, whether patients are living in their own homes or care homes.
- Around 250 people are admitted to our In-Patient Unit every year for symptom management or end of life care.
- Our support is tailored to meet the needs of all our patients and families by a multidisciplinary team with a wide range of skills and knowledge.
- All our care is provided free of charge.
We have lots of exciting events coming up this year, including the Sky Dives, The Manchester to Blackpool Bike Ride, and our 40th Anniversary Celebrations! If you would like information on any of the forthcoming events, please don’t hesitate to get in touch.
If you are able to continue your vital support for Wigan and Leigh Hospice, we would be extremely grateful.
