Dudley Stroke Association. HMP Birmingham.

Dear Mr White

On behalf of Dudley Stroke Association, a big heartfelt thank you to the Prison Service Charity fund for boosting the money raised by Kelly Jones in her successful 3 peaks challenge.

Kelly has presented us with the two cheques, £810 towards her fundraising challenge and the further £1500 special AGM Donation.

Dudley Stroke Association is a relatively small local charity providing support to people following a stroke and their families, within the Dudley Borough. In addition to one to one support, activities include groups to support people with communication difficulties, exercise groups, flat green bowling sessions, craft and chat sessions, information events on services available; plus last year we also managed to obtain an allotment which is greatly helping peoples well-being through our nature through nurture project. Another important aspect of our work is raising awareness on recognising a stroke, its risk factors and how to reduce the risk, to people of all ages including taking the message into schools which evaluates very well.

The money raised and donated by yourselves will greatly help us continue this much needed work.

Kelly provided me with a copy of the Prison service Charity fund Annual report, it really is amazing the amount of charities and groups you support, we are so fortunate to be included this year.

Once again thank you very much for your donations, it is greatly appreciated. If you require any further information, please do not hesitate to contact me.

Kind regards

Anne
