I am writing to confirm receipt of the kind and generous donation of £500 to Middleton Central Foodbank which we received this week via Vicki Sampey who applied to the fund on our behalf in connection with a Cardinal Langley RC High School sponsored walk fundraiser.
I have attached a Thank You certificate in acknowledgement of the donation which we will use to help us support families and individuals through the winter months.
Demand for support from the Foodbank remains high as the continued increasing cost of food is putting a significant strain upon local families struggling to get by.
So far in 2025, 8 months ish, we’ve issued close to 700 emergency food parcels supporting 1,600 adults and children. We’ve received 13.1 tonnes of donated food, and given out 15.7 tonnes which means we are having to buy in additional stocks of food to keep ahead of the demand.
Thankfully donors, like yourselves, help us to meet this ongoing need.
